Bygging designs and manufactures specialised equipment for the erection, repair and maintenance of storage tanks and for selected heavy lifting applications.
Our core expertise lies in the top-down method of storage tank construction, in which hydraulic jacking equipment is used to progressively lift the completed portion of the tank while successive shell courses are erected at ground level. The method can be combined with Bygging’s automatic welding equipment to mechanise a substantial part of the tank shell erection process.

A comprehensive range comprising hydraulic tank jacking equipment, automatic girth welding machines for horizontal shell joints, electrogas welding machines for vertical joints, tank re-bottoming equipment, and working platforms.
Other Lifting Applications
Bygging also manufactures telescopic hydraulic jacks for bolted tanks, grain storage silos and dryers, as well as hydraulic strand jacks for applications such as chimney flues, vessels, horizontal tanks, de-aerators and other heavy loads.
Equipment is available for sale and, for selected products and locations, rental, supported by engineering and technical assistance.
